We have known Mr. Bauer as a wonderful father in law to Steve's brother Larry and as the head of a wonderful family of Bauer's. The love he and his wife shared with their children and all of their extended families sets a wonderful example we should all follow. We cannot be there in person for his service, but we want all of the family, especially our sister in law Helen and Larry, to know we are with them in thoughts and prayers today as always.

It was such a profound sense of grief when we heard of Uncle Billy's passing. I was glad to hear he did not suffer and that is always a soothing thought after a long illness. It is with deep sadness that I write because I could not make the trip to Savannah because of an ongoing medical issue that is preventing me from traveling. I assure you I am riddled with sadness and grief; because of it I will probably never get over missing the funeral. I have many fond memories of 'Unc' especially of him and my Father. I always admired and respected him and often tried to please him along with my Dad. This was a trying feat because they liked to keep the achievement bar high, but I survived and hopefully became a better person as a result of that
